Qualifications:             Bachelor’s Degree, preferred; Related Experience, required; Microsoft Office proficiency, required; Excellent Verbal/Oral Communication Skills, required

 

Supervisory:                No

 

Reports to:                  Executive Director of Student Services         

 

Summary: The Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of the Bright Futures - Joplin program which provides a path for communities to engage everyone (school-based, community-based, business-based, faith-based, and service-based) in a collective movement to develop relationships and channel resources to fill the gap, regularly enabling students to more fully access their learning.

The individual who holds this position is regularly required to walk, hear and speak and

must have close moderate and distance vision ability. This individual must be able to

travel between district facilities. The position requires a moderate amount of travel.

Conditions and Environment

The individual who holds this position will regularly work in a school environment that is noisy and active.  Occasionally the individual will be required to work outdoors for short periods of time to perform such tasks as loading and unloading students from district transportation and supervising recess.
