Title: Adjunct Adult CNA Instructor and Examiner

Qualifications: A registered professional nurse currently licensed in Missouri or have a temporary permit from the Missouri State Board of Nursing and shall not be the subject of disciplinary action.
Shall have taught a similar course or shall be qualified to teach a similar course but shall not have been the instructor of the students being examined and not be employed by the operator whose students are being examined.
Shall be specifically approved by the State to administer final examinations and shall have signed an agreement with the division to protect and keep secure the final examination.

Summary
The Adjunct Adult CNA Instructor and Examiner will demonstrate the following when instructing:
- teach the course curriculum as outlined in the approved course manual
- build knowledge and develop clinical skills aimed at assisting students to obtain the CNA license
- maintain accurate records on all students, including but not limited to attendance records, schedules and course requirements regarding hours of instruction and content
- evaluate and document students’ progress through testing, observation, and assessment of skills attained
- communicate effectively with students, and all affiliated with the course
- provide a stimulating environment that encourages student participation, interpersonal skills development, and concepts of good patient care
- perform other duties assigned
The Adjunct Adult CNA Instructor and Examiner will demonstrate the following when testing:
- conduct and supervise the final written exam and practicum for the Certified Nurse Assistant students.
- prepare and submit at required dates and times designated, all records and reports as required by administration
- keep accurate and sufficient records of student grades and submit the information and appropriate forms in a timely fashion
- perform other duties assigned

Essential Functions: • Works in conjunction with the Program Coordinator and healthcare facilities to schedule student testing
- Responsible for organization, administration, continuous review, and general effectiveness of lab/clinical experiences for students enrolled in the program
- Implements evaluation for outcomes assessment, and achieves established results while maintaining standards of student satisfaction

- Ability to implement curriculum, testing, and/or teaching methodologies
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Knowledge of teaching methods, curriculum, and education programs
- Possess teaching and facilitation skills
- Ability to teach and control the behavior of students
- Knowledge of academic and/or vocational education curricula
- Knowledge of and ability to apply relevant current education methodologies and techniques
- Ability to understand and follow Board policies, administrative procedures and training and handbook materials
